Absecon Police Investigating a Smash and Grab Burglary at Mino's Bakery

On Friday, October 25, 2013 around 2:15 am Mino's Bakery, located at 792 White Horse Pike in Absecon, was burglarized. The actor, described as a white male standing about 5'10" with a large build, attempted to pry open the rear door to the business.

When the rear door would not open the accused male walked around to the front of the building along Rt. 30 and smashed the front, glass door with a large rock. The male is then seen on surveillance video entering the store and immediately walking to a back room where he attempts to remove a safe. The safe was secured to the floor preventing the accused from taking it.

The male soon-there-after exits the store empty handed through the rear door. Surveillance video shows the male wearing a dark hooded, zip-up sweatshirt with the hood pulled up, blue jeans, a mask around his face leaving only the area around his eyes visible, and black gloves. A long screwdriver or similar type of pry tool is seen in the male's possession.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Det. Mitch Levin of the Absecon Police Department at 609-641-0667 ext:217. Tips and information may be submitted anonymously through Atlantic County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-658-TIPS (8477) or text TIPCOP plus your TIP to 274637 (CRIMES).
