Two Suspects Apprehended on Weapons Offenses after Foot Pursuit in Absecon



On Thursday October 3, 2013 at approx 1:30pm, the Absecon Police assisted the Atlantic City Police in apprehending two suspects wanted on weapons offenses, after they led police in a motor vehicle and foot pursuit through the two jurisdictions. 

Atlantic City Police attempted to stop the motor vehicle in their city and it continued on Rt.30 into Absecon. The suspects then bailed out of their vehicle on Pitney Road in Absecon and fled on foot. Several Officers from both police departments gave chase. 

One suspect was apprehended by police immediately, the second suspect fled on foot through several back yards on Oak Lane and Pine Street. 

LaQuay Elliott, 20 years old of Absecon was apprehended by police after he broke into a house on the 300 block of Pine Street trying to escape. Police pursued him into the residence where he was apprehended. A loaded 9mm handgun was recovered nearby, which LaQuay tried to discard during the foot chase.
