Folsom Man Indicted for the Murder of a Woman Stabbed to Death in Her Home


MAYS LANDING - A Folsom man has been indicted for the murder of a woman who was stabbed to death in her home six months ago, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced today.
On Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, an Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted Darrin K. Plumlee, 43, for the murder of Merry Abernathy, 30.
On Friday, April 12, 2013, the New Jersey State Police responded to the couples’ residence located on the 100 block of Lenape Terrace and discovered Abernathy, who had sustained multiple stab wounds, dead inside the home.

State Police apprehended Plumlee on scene and charged him with murder. Plumlee has been indicted on counts of first-degree murder and weapons offenses. He remains jailed at the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu $2 million bail.
