Narcotics Unit Arrests Egg Harbor City Man and Juvenile; Seizing Cocaine and Guns

EGG HARBOR CITY – An ongoing joint narcotics investigation resulted in the arrests of an Egg Harbor City man and juvenile and the seizure of cocaine and guns, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced today.
On Thursday, Jan. 16, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Offices Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit in conjunction with the Egg Harbor City Police Department and the Egg Harbor Township Police K-9 Unit executed a search warrant at a unit in the Philadelphia Village Apartments located at 1000 Buffalo Avenue in Egg Harbor City.
As a result of the search, authorities seized 10.8 grams of cocaine, one 9 mm semi-automatic handgun and one .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun.

Daril Jackson, 27, of Egg Harbor City, was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of a .22 caliber handgun. A 17-year-old juvenile from Egg Harbor City was charged with possession of a 9mm handgun.
Jackson was transferred to the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $60,000 full cash bail set by Municipal Court Judge William Cappuccio. The 17-year-old juvenile was released to his parents.
Last month, on Dec. 18, 2013, nine individuals were arrested in connection with operating a large organized heroin trafficking ring out of the same apartment complex. (Link to press release: http://www.acpo.org/pressreleases/2013/121913ehc.pdf )

***These charges are merely an accusation and not proof of guilt. In all criminal cases, a charged defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
