Galloway Township Council Establishes Salary and Compensation Rates for Employees

Galloway Township Council introduced an Ordinance at the November 12, 2013 Council Meeting that establishes the Salary and Compensation Rates for all employees of the Township.

The Ordinance provides a range of salary and/or hourly rate per position in the Township including Mayor and Council.  Contractual and non-contractual employees are included in this one Ordinance.

In previous years, the Township would adopt an Ordinance to reflect current rate increases and contractual agreements per Union or agreement with non-union employees.

Township Manager Arch Liston indicated it was better for records management to have one Ordinance with all of the employees salaries listed than several ordinances that had to be searched for over multiple years.

No employee can be paid below or above the established salary range without further amendments from the Governing Body.

Galloway Township Council is scheduled to vote on the Ordinance after a Public Hearing on December 10, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.

The Ordinance is listed below.
