Galloway Woman Injured in Car Accident on White Horse Pike; Summons Issued

On September 12, 2015 at 4:08 p.m., Galloway Township Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on the White Horse Pike (US Route 30).
Police released, according to a witness and evidence, Gertrude Mangeruga, 76 of Galloway, was traveling east on the White Horse Pike and Akhilanan Balkaran, 47, of Plainfield, was traveling west on the White Horse Pike.  
Gertrude Mangeruga, who was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla then tried to make a left turn in front of Akhilanan Balkaran, who was driving a 2012 GMC Acadia in order to travel north on Cologne Ave.  

Gertrude M. Mangeruga was transported to AtlantiCare City Division where she is listed in stable condition.  Akhilanan Balkaran, Cynthia Purnell-Balkaran and juvenile passengers all sustained minor injuries and were treated at AtlantiCare Mainland Division.
Summons were issued to Gertrude Mangeruga for failure to yield right of way at an intersection
Galloway Twp. Ambulance Squad, and AtlantiCare Medics, Hamilton Twp PD. all assisted in the accident.
