Driver, Passenger Arrested on Drug Charges after Attempting to Elude Police

On Saturday, September 12th, 2015 at approximately 6:18 pm, Officers Williams and Officer Imberti of the Absecon Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on a red 2014 Nissan Altima in the area of Huron Ave. and W. Wyoming Ave. 

The vehicle and its occupants were detained due to suspicious activity. The investigation revealed that the rear passenger was in possession of CDS paraphernalia. 

As the rear passenger, identified as Matthew Heath of Absecon, was being placed into custody, the driver of the red Nissan suddenly sped away from the scene. Other police units were able to follow the vehicle as it sped southbound towards W. Church St. The driver attempted to make a left turn on W. Church St., at a high rate of speed, causing the vehicle to lose control and strike a curb. 

When the vehicle came to rest, both the driver and front passenger exited the vehicle. The driver fled the scene, on foot, behind several residences on W. Church St. The front passenger, identified as Tamika Holman of Pleasantville, cooperated with patrol and she was detained. 

Officer Imberti pursed the driver behind several residences until he was apprehended. A search of the incident area yielded several baggies of CDS and paraphernalia which were tossed from the fleeing vehicle. 

The driver identified as Marlow Guerrier of Pleasantville, was arrested and charged with Eluding Police, Obstruction of Administrative Law, Resisting Arrest, Possession of CDS, Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute Within 500 of a Public Park. 

Mr. Guerriers bail was set at $100,000.00 full and he was later lodge in county jail.
