Chuck Mackintosh to be Honored by Galloway Council for his 50-years in Fire Service

Galloway Township Mayor and Council is set to honor Chuck Mackintosh for his 50-years of dedicated Fire Service during tonights Council Meeting.

Mackintosh is the Chief of Bayview Volunteer Fire Company # 4 in Galloway Township. Mackintosh has been the Chief for the past few years and has served as Chief for a total of 9 years. 

Mackintosh was also a paid member with the Teaneck Fire Department for 43 years and even was part of the search and recovery team during 9/11.  

Mackintosh was already honored at the Atlantic County Fire Association meeting and further was awarded a 50 year pin and plaque from Representative Congressman Frank LoBiondo.

Mackintosh will be honored tonight at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at 300 E. Jimmie Leeds Road, or you can watch the ceremony on Channel 97 on Comcast TV.

Congratulations to the hardest working man I have ever known. 50 years dedicated to serving the public and preserving life is quite an accomplishment, however, doing it with the integrity, dignity and class that you display on a daily basis, puts you on an entirely different level. It is truly an honor and a privilege to call you Dad.

I hope you never lose the passion.
