Egg Harbor Twp. Police in Search of Suspects who Burglarized Home and Stole Safe

On April 20, 2014 (Easter Sunday), this agency responded to the 5000 block of Tremont Ave for a residential burglary that just occurred. It was reported that a tan or beige older model Ford Explorer backed up into the victim’s driveway.

Two males exited the vehicle while the driver remained in the vehicle.

The two males entered the residence through the front door and carried out a deposit safe. The safe was described as an AMSEC brand top loading deposit safe with dual control key lock (pictured). It stood approximately 36 inches tall and was approximately 14 inches square. It contained a substantial amount of cash (mostly $100 bills and $50 bills).

The suspect’s vehicle was possibly a 1995 to 2001 Ford Explorer, tan or beige color and possibly had aftermarket wheels (photograph is of actual vehicle).

The driver was described as a black male wearing a baseball cap with a hand towel draped over his hat, which covered most of his face. His approximate age was unknown.

The suspects who carried the safe were described as black males in their mid-twenties. The first male was further described as approximately 6’00” tall medium build, light skinned with corn rows or dread locks that were pulled back. He was wearing a white t-shirt and sweat pants. The second male was further described as 5’05” to 5’06” tall, short hair, mustache with goatee and wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans.
