Absecon Woman Extracted From Vehicle After Losing Control and Striking Tree in Galloway

On May 29, 2014, the Galloway Township Police Department responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident with entrapment on Leipzig Avenue and Country Club Drive.

A 2007 Saturn driven by Dawn Posner of Absecon was traveling south on Leipzig Avenue. The Saturn attempted to pass a 2007 Lexus driven by Lonnie Mishoe Jr. of Galloway Township as it attempted a left turn onto Country Club Drive.

The area in question is a no passing zone. As she passed, the Lexus turned left into her vehicle causing it to spin out of control, go off the roadway and strike a tree.

Pomona and Germania Fire Departments responded. Posner had to be extricated from her car. She was transported to ACRMC City Division for moderate non life threatening injuries. Mishoe complained of pain but denied medical treatment on scene.

Leipzig Avenue was shut down in both directions for 45 minutes while the scene was cleared and investigated. Posner was issued a summons for passing in a no passing zone.

The Galloway Township Ambulance Squad, ACRMC Medics, Pomona Fire Co., Germania Fire Co. and Burlington County Sheriffs Dept. assisted in the accident.
