On Sunday February 8 around 2:30 am, Ptl. J. Hurley and Ptl. Z. Perna of the Egg Harbor City Police Department responded to an alarm call in the area of the Wells Fargo drive through located at the corner of Liverpool Avenue and Arago Street.
It was determined that the door to the drive-up teller area had been damaged and entry was made by an unknown suspect(s).  While investigating the burglary, another alarm was dispatched for the Cedar Food Mart.
Upon arrival, it was found that the front door had been smashed.  During the investigation of the Cedar Food Mart, another alarm was dispatched for the Discount City Liquor store.

The suspect was seen fleeing from the rear of the store and was quickly apprehended in Lincoln Park, with the assistance of the Mullica Township, Egg Harbor Township and Hamilton Township Police Departments.
The male suspect, Nelson Figueroa, was found to have a large sum of cash on his person, along with burglar tools.  After further investigation, it was determined that Figueroa was directly linked to the recent commercial burglaries within Egg Harbor City.
He was charged with the burglaries and subsequently lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $75,000.00 cash bail.
