Police Investigate Death of EHC Man in Pleasantville Shooting

PLEASANTVILLE – Police are investigating the shooting death in Pleasantville late yesterday afternoon of an Egg Harbor City man, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton announced.
Pleasantville Police responded last yesterday, Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 5:12 p.m. to the intersection of Linden Avenue and Merion Avenue, Pleasantville, a 9-1-1 call reporting gunshots. EMS and AtlantiCare paramedics also responded to the scene.

Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting in Egg Harbor City

EGG HARBOR CITY – The Prosecutor’s Office and Egg Harbor City Police Department are investigating the shooting of an Egg Harbor City man early this morning, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
In response to a 9-1-1 call, Egg Harbor City Police and emergency medical personnel responded this morning, October 7, 2015 at 12:10 a.m., to the 300 block of 8th Terrace, in Egg Harbor City, for a report that a person had been shot. Upon arrival, police found John Daniels, 31, of Egg Harbor City, inside a residence, the victim of gunshot wounds.

Police Seize Over 1,900 Bags of Heroin; Mullica Man Charged

EGG HARBOR CITY – A narcotics investigation resulted in the arrest of a Mullica Township man and the seizure of heroin and marijuana, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced today.
On Monday, May 4, 2015 the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Offices Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit in conjunction with the Egg Harbor City Police Department and the Galloway Township Police arrested Anthony Taylor at the 100 Block of Philadelphia Avenue, Egg Harbor City, NJ.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop conducted by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Unit, in response to numerous complaints from residents and businesses of drug activity in an area established as a public housing complex.

Galloway Man Arrested After Brief Chase; Heroin and Other Drugs Found

On Thursday March 12th around 11:27 pm Sgt. Landicini and Det. Soliman conducted a motor vehicle stop on 6th Terrace.  The driver of the vehicle Matthew Lynch, 24-years-old from Galloway Township, ran on foot from the stop.  
After a brief foot chase and the assistance of Ptl. Aiken, Ptl. Coney and Ptl. Kienzle Lynch was apprehended and found to be in possession of 94 bags of Heroin, 27.2 grams of powder cocaine, 18.5 grams of crack cocaine, and $359.00 dollars cash.

Traffic Stop Leads to 500 Bags of Heroin and Marijuana Found

On March 11, 2015 around 10:00 pm Officer Aiken conducted a motor vehicle stop on Philadelphia Avenue.  While speaking to the driver, Officer Aiken smelled the strong odor of marijuana. 

Sergeant Landicini, Detective Soliman, and Officer Akeret arrived to assist Aiken and after a brief investigation the passenger of the vehicle, David Ramirez 18-year-old male from Mays Landing, was found to have 500 bags of Heroin and Marijuana in his possession.  

The rear passenger Jamal George, 20-year-old male from Mays Landing, was found to be in possession of Oxycodone pills. Both subjects were taken into custody and charged with the following:

Attempted Car Stop Leads to Chase; Several Drivers Arrested and Large Quantity of Drugs Found

On March 2, 2015 at approximately 11:02 PM Sergeant Matt Landicini and Patrolman Pat Aiken were traveling north on St. Louis Avenue when a Silver Buick ran the stop sign at Arago Street and St. Louis Avenue almost colliding with their patrol car.  

The Officers attempted to initiate a motor vehicle stop at which point the vehicle failed to pull over and continued north on St. Louis Avenue for several blocks before coming to a stop at Campe Street.  

As officers approached the vehicle they observed the driver, later identified as Harold Miller, 33-year-old male from Atlantic City quickly open his door, throw his feet out the door, pull an item from his waistband and attempt to flee on foot.

Egg Harbor City Man Charged with Manslaughter for Striking Man that Caused his Death

PLEASANTVILLE – An Egg Harbor City man was charged with manslaughter yesterday for striking a 30-year-old Absecon man in a parking lot in Pleasantville on February 15th, causing the man’s death in the hospital 3 days later, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
On Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at approximately 9:49 p.m., Pleasantville Police responded with emergency medical responders to an 800 block North Main Street business parking lot. Upon arrival, officers found Kyle Athill, 30, of Absecon, NJ, lying unconscious on the ground.

Egg Harbor City Police Blotter January 11, 2015 - February 13, 2015


Egg Harbor City Police have released their Police Blotter for the week of January 11, 2015 to February 13, 2015.  Arrests consist of contempt of court, DWI, drug charges, and harassment.

Jonathan M. Storey, 31, of Mays Landing was arrested by SLEO Joe Akeret for contempt of court on January 14, 2015.

Nicole D. Luker, 35, of Galloway was arrested by Sgt. Matt Landicini and SLEO Pat Aiken for contempt of court on January 19, 2015.

Commercial Burglar Caught in Egg Harbor City After Hitting Several Businesses

On Sunday February 8 around 2:30 am, Ptl. J. Hurley and Ptl. Z. Perna of the Egg Harbor City Police Department responded to an alarm call in the area of the Wells Fargo drive through located at the corner of Liverpool Avenue and Arago Street. 
It was determined that the door to the drive-up teller area had been damaged and entry was made by an unknown suspect(s).  While investigating the burglary, another alarm was dispatched for the Cedar Food Mart. 
Upon arrival, it was found that the front door had been smashed.  During the investigation of the Cedar Food Mart, another alarm was dispatched for the Discount City Liquor store.

Darnel M. Depalma, 42, of Egg Harbor City was arrested by Det. Remon Soliman for possession of heroin on December 4, 2014.

Jose L. Echevarria, 27, of Hammonton was arrested by Det. Remon Soliman for defiant trespass on December 5, 2014.

Egg Harbor City Police Investigate Alleged Child Abduction from Local School

On December 1st, 2014, the Egg Harbor City Police Department responded to the Egg Harbor City Community School for an alleged abduction of a 13 year-old juvenile.  


Officers from the Egg Harbor City Police Department, along with Atlantic County Sheriff’s Officers and Egg Harbor City School Administration launched an immediate and thorough investigation into allegations that a tall, white male dragged the 13 year old victim into a wooded area near the Egg Harbor City Community School shortly after dismissal on December 1st, 2014.

Joseph W. Putnam, 22, of Egg Harbor City was arrested by SLEO Joe Akeret for contempt of court, driving while suspended and careless driving on November 22.

Walter Black, Jr., 62, of Egg Harbor City was arrested by Ptl. Brian McKenna for contempt of court on November 22.

Former EHC Detective Receives Suspended 5-year Sentence for Official Misconduct

MAYS LANDING – A former Egg Harbor City Police Detective was sentenced today for official misconduct, by exploiting his position as a police officer in order to engage in sexual conduct with several women, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
On Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, Steven Hadley, 31, of Port Republic, was charged with four counts of second-degree official misconduct.
The charges specified that Hadley committed acts related to his office that constituted unauthorized use of his official position as a police officer in order to obtain benefit for himself, specifically sexual conduct.

Egg Harbor City Police have released their Police Blotter for the week of October 26, 2014 to November 15, 2014.  Arrests consist of trespassing, contempt of court, and simple assault.

Leah M. Elton, 36, of Egg Harbor City was arrested by Ptl. Tom Coney for contempt of court on October 26.

Xenia Orellana-Narvaez, 37, of Egg Harbor Township was arrested by Sgt. Dylan Hutton for contempt of court on October 28.

Tyshon M. Nieves, 22, of Egg Harbor City was arrested by Ptl. Dave Aldridge for contempt of court on October 29.

Man Charged with Murder and Arson in Death of Mother and Child in EHC Fire

EGG HARBOR CITY – A man has been charged with murder and arson in connection with the killing two days ago in their Egg Harbor City home of the mother and child with whom he cohabited, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced today.
Joseph F. Palmer 3rd, 38, of 214 Washington Avenue, Egg Harbor City, was charged today with the Wednesday, November 12th murders of a woman who remains officially unidentified pending definitive forensic analysis—but is believed to be Michelle Pabst, 38—and of her son, Gavin Pabst, age 7, both of the same address.

EHC Fire Claims the Life of Two People; Fire Deemed Suspicious

EGG HARBOR CITY – The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the deaths of two victims at the site of a structure fire in Egg Harbor City, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced today.
At approximately 8:00 this morning, Wednesday, November 12, 2014, Egg Harbor City Police, Mullica Township Police, and firefighters from the Egg Harbor City Volunteer Fire Department and the South Egg Harbor Volunteer Fire Company responded to a residential structure fire on the 200 block of Washington Avenue, Egg Harbor City.

EHC Police Investigating Shooting; Victim Shot in the Back

On Sunday, November 2, 2014 at approximately 9:24 p.m., the Egg Harbor City Police responded to several reports of shots being fired on the 100 Block of Egg Harbor City.

Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, 23-year-old Caleb Bostic, laying in a back laundry room. Bostic had suffered multiple gunshots wounds to his back. The crime scene was located in the vicinity of 7th Terrace and Arago Street.

Motorcycle and Sedan Collide Sending Occupants to Hospital

A motorcycle accident occurred this afternoon at the intersection of Philadelphia Avenue and Duerer Street in Egg Harbor City at approximately 3:24 p.m. 

The accident occurred between a motorcycle and a sedan.

There were no substantial injuries, however the occupants of both the sedan and motorcycle were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center to be evaluated.
