On July 3, 2016 at 8:50 p.m., Galloway Township Police responded to a motor-vehicle accident on the White Horse Pike involving a motorcycle.
According to Police, a 2012 Suzuki GXR 1300R Motorcycle driven by Steven P Martin Sr. of Pleasantville was traveling west on US Route 30 when it came into contact with the rear and side of a Toyota SUV driven by James Juan of Cherry Hill. The Toyota was also traveling west.
After impact the Suzuki left the roadway and came to rest several hundred feet from impact in a drainage ditch. Martin was transported to ARMC City Division for serious life threatening injuries. Occupants of the Toyota were uninjured. Witnesses reported seeing two motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed prior to impact.
The outside westbound lane of Rt 30 was shut down for approximately 2 hours while the scene was investigated and vehicles and debris removed. Ofc. Garrison, Ofc. Costa and Det. Casey are investigating the collision.
