Three Injured in Accident on Great Creek Road; Summons Issued

On Monday, July 27, 2015 at approximately 7:53 PM, the Galloway Township Police Department responded to the intersection of Great Creek Road and Sylvan Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle accident with multiple injuries.

Upon police arrival both vehicles were significantly damaged and sitting off of the roadway.  All three individuals involved in the accident were outside of their vehicles complaining of injuries they received as a result of the crash.

The initial police investigation reveals that Breanna Repnicki, 22, of Galloway was driving a 2012 Honda Civic on Sylvan Avenue heading towards the intersection with Great Creek Road.  Repnicki failed to stop and yield at the posted stop sign and entered Great Creek Road striking a 2007 Nissan Xterra driven by Matthew Swartz, 18, of Galloway.

Repnicki and Swartz were both transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division for treatment of facial and neck injuries.

Repnicki’s 20 year old male passenger was transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center City Division for a head injury.  Repnicki was issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to yield or stop at a stop sign.

Traffic on Great Creek Road was delayed for approximately one hour due to the motor vehicle accident.  The Galloway Township Ambulance Squad and Atlanticare Paramedics assisted Galloway Police with handling the accident.
