Large Crowd Involved in Fight Inside Hamilton Mall; Several Charged

On April 11, 2015 at approximately 6:30pm the Township of Hamilton Police Department received a call from Hamilton Mall Security that they were dealing with a large fight involving approximately 30 people. While Police were responding they were updated that gun shots were fired.

A description of the shooter was given out to responding units. Responding officers observed a large juvenile male fitting the description running across the Black Horse Pike. He was detained between McDonalds and Toys R Us.

Multiple fights broke out from the time of the call until approximately 7:15pm. Investigation revealed that no gun shots were fired and no handgun was involved. The large male juvenile, 17 of Mays Landing, was detained and was charged with disorderly conduct for throwing chairs during the altercation. The fights involved juveniles and later, adults of the juveniles. The area was dispersed, with complaints filed against three subjects.

Hamilton Mall Security and Hamilton Mall Management were quick to react and help restore order. They were able to provide video of the incident and further complaints are possible upon further review. Police remained on foot patrol in the mall until closing.

Assisting at the scene were Hamilton Mall Security and an off duty State Trooper.

Absolute bullshit that you can't even go to the mall without some low life starting shit. Thank you to all the officers involved for taking out the trash.

There was a fight at the mall on 4/9/15 also just not as big as this fight. What is in the water these kids are drinking! Who fights in a mall that has cameras everywhere and think they won't get caught...

WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO!? Seems like 'innocent' people can't go about their daily lives/go anywhere---nowadays, without fearing for their safety/lives. GET IT TOGETHER, PEOPLE...you want to 'fight'...do it at your own home - amongst yourselves------------and don't involve other people who are just out/about...trying to live their lives in an enjoyable/decent/safe/civil manner!

Perhaps a fund raiser for Sharpton?

It because kids aren't brought up to respect anything or anyone nowadays. They do what they what with no consequences. Parents can't discipline kids anymore because it's child abuse if they hit them, I'm not saying just go around hitting your kids but if they need it once in awhile to get it through there heads what's right from wrong. Even schools today don't teach the values that most people over 35 grew up with.

Totally agree. A 40 year old woman raised the old fashion ways

How will it end when you have kids fighting and then their adult relatives get into it!! This is what they know because this is what the learn!! My daughter was there and at some point during the night 3 girls that were clearly younger than my daughter made a rude comment to her and when she turned around one of them said, "Yea you, that's right." Luckily my daughter was raised better, she just smiled and kept walking!! Really!! These are the same girls that would probably call themselves "classy"!

Same thing happened in a Pittsburgh mall a few weeks ago. I used to frequent it when I lived there and I thought if it could happen there, cause it is a really nice mall, I bet it can happen here. And it did! Makes me sick!

Where does it state the color, race, nationality, anything that would suggest Sharpton would be interested or involved???? It doesn't and the fact that you suggest such an idea shows what an unintelligent, narrow minded fool you really are. Anyone, child or adult can become involved in a fight or altercation but it is the sick minds of individuals such as yourself that fuel the furnace of bigotry and further the uneducated way of thinking and assuming one type of people would be involved. YOU ARE A HUMAN AS AM I AND EVERYONE ON THIS PLANET BUT YOU NEED TO EXPAND EDUCATE AND EMBRASS THE WORLD AS DIVERSIFIED BECAUSE LOOK AROUND NO ONE IS THE SAME. IF YOU CANT DO THIS CRAWL BACK IN THAT WHOLE OF RACISM YOU UNEARTHED FROM AND LEAVE THIS WORLD TO PROGRESS, EDUCATION, AND ACCEPTANCE. WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH RACISM IN HISTORY. I'M WHITE AND I AM PROUD TO SAY I EMBRASS ALL PEOPLE AS EQUALS. JUST SAD A PATHETIC SUCH PEOPLE STILL STAND ON THE ANONYMOUS SOAP BOX OF SOCIAL MEDIA, HAVE THE GUMPTION TO STAND BEHIND YOUR WORDS AND SIGN YOUR POST! I pray your thinking changes.

Where does it state anyone involved would fit the bill for Sharpton to be interested or involved???? It doesn't. Just on your racist anonymous soap box of social media you us as a platform. WE ARE ALL HUMANS AND IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED NOT ONE PERSON IS THE SAME. YOUR COMMENTS REFLECT RACISM AND FURTHER FUEL THE BIGOTRY MACHINE WITH YOUR UNEDUCATED NARROW MINDED WAY OF THINKING. Regardless of who was involved or initiated the incident it is a sad day for human kind, simple as that. If you see it otherwise crawl back in the whole you unearthed from to spill this unintelligent nonsense. You felt so strongly to comment yet you did so anonymously. Pathetic. I'm white I've been a good person and even a bad person but I love all humans for their worth not race, color, sexual orientation anything. An ignorant person can be anyone just like You! I pray you open your eyes to the world we live in and educate yourself on the wonders you will see and may learn from others outside of your own kind.

And you wonder why?

Maybe. Just maybe the person who gets all fired up and types in caps is the real problem. Maybe, it was just a joke. The world takes themselves too serious and gets all offended and innocent jokes our precious pussified egos can't handle. Get over yourself. Laugh at yourself. Then go address the real problem which is bad parenting. It said the parents then got. Involved? Our course those kids are fighting because it was their parents reaction too. We all know Al isn't comimg here anyway. Nobody got shot. No TV time.

you cant keep babying them in there teens either gotta let them grow up and have a life withought having mom everywhere you go. understandable its cuz you care but you cant restrict them from growing up

A small group of unruly teenagers does not stand for all teenagers of today. What this group did in my hometown mall was appalling and it's a disgrace! However just because these kids did a terrible thing does not mean that all teenagers are bad. My parents instilled in me good values and school teachers continued these values. Stating that we are all bad is equivilant to judging a book by it's cover.
