Galloway Township Recognizes National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

The Galloway Township Police Department acknowledges National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in honor of public safety communications operators throughout the United States.  Communications Operators provide a vital link between citizens and public safety agencies including police, fire, and emergency medical services.

The Galloway Township Police Department Communications Center services our community as well as Port Republic and Mullica Township.  This includes an area of over 181 square miles with a population of approximately 45,000 residents and thousands of daily visitors.

Our Communications Operators handle hundreds of emergency 9-1-1 and non emergency phone calls each day and are primarily responsible for radio communications with two police agencies, 10 fire companies, and one EMS agency.  Between calls for service from the public and self initiated police activity the Communications Center handles over 50,000 incidents each year.

The Police Department gratefully acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the following Communications Operators:

Director Kurt Hackney
Assistant Director Ian Capp
Brian Shaw
Laura Ade
Trish Poletis
Katie Lawrence
Aileen Kolb
Jim Czerwinski
Nicole Bruno
Ricky Cantz
