Galloway Township Police Captain Retires After 25-years of Service

Galloway Township Police Captain Allan Kane has retired after twenty-five years of service. 

Kane, who retired on September 1, 2014, received a Certificate of Appreciation at tonight's Council Meeting for his long and dedicated service to the Galloway Township Police Department, the Township's Facebook stated. 

Police Chief Patrick Moran and Mayor Don Purdy presented Kane with a plaque and his retirement badge. 

Kane graduated from the Atlantic County Police Academy ranked first in his class. Kane was promoted to Sergeant in 1994; Lieutenant in 2001 and Captain in 2010. 

During his police career he held many positions including teaching firearms, officer survival, and physical fitness. Kane also served as District Commander with the Atlantic County Emergency Response Team. 

Kane is currently working on his Masters degree, and holds a degree in Psychology from the Richard Stockton State College.
