Concerned Citizens Help Two Children in Car Driving Erratically on Rt 30; Driver Charged

On July 5, 2014 at 9:30 a.m., Galloway Township Police received a 9-1-1 call from concerned citizens traveling west on the White Horse Pike (Rt. 30) in the area of the Garden State Parkway. 

Callers reported that they observed two (2) minor children inside a vehicle that was driving erratically and almost overturned at one point. Galloway police were able to locate the vehicle with the assistance of the caller who provided the registration and continued to follow at a safe distance behind the vehicle.

Paul Dessicino, 30, of Mays Landing, was arrested and charged with (2) counts of Child Endangerment / Neglect, DWI, Possession of CDS (Heroin) and Reckless Driving. 

The Division of Children and Families was notified and the children ages 4 and 5, were turned over safely to the custody of their mother. 

Dessicino was processed and lodged in the Atlantic County Jail Facility in lieu of $10,000.00 bail. 

Officers Brian Tennant and Vincent Ceci were the Investigating Officers.
