Egg Harbor City Police Investigate Alleged Child Abduction from Local School

On December 1st, 2014, the Egg Harbor City Police Department responded to the Egg Harbor City Community School for an alleged abduction of a 13 year-old juvenile.

Officers from the Egg Harbor City Police Department, along with Atlantic County Sheriff’s Officers and Egg Harbor City School Administration launched an immediate and thorough investigation into allegations that a tall, white male dragged the 13 year old victim into a wooded area near the Egg Harbor City Community School shortly after dismissal on December 1st, 2014.

The juvenile was found unharmed by Detective Remon Soliman a short distance from the school minutes after the reported abduction.

Atlantic County Sheriffs Officer Kleinow and his K-9 partner, Luke, were deployed for a track to determine direction of flight of the alleged abductor, whom the victim reportedly hit with a stick to manage an escape.

After reviewing surveillance footage, investigating social media as well as cell phone activity, and conducting interviews it was determined, based on the facts and circumstances, that the reported abduction was unfounded.
