On October 29, 2015 at 7:44 a.m., Galloway Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle collision on South Pitney Road and Upland Avenue.
According to Police a vehicle operated by Constance M. Polistina, 50, of Absecon, was driving a 1999 Honda CRV and was traveling northbound when she crossed over the center line and collided head on with a truck traveling southbound. The truck, a 2015 Freightliner M21 Truck was operated by Anthony D. Pryor, 55 of Elizabeth, NJ.
Anthony D. Pryor sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from AtlantiCare Mainland Division. Constance M. Polistina was pronounced deceased at the accident scene.
The road was closed for approximately three hours while the accident was being investigated. According to Police no summons have been issued at this time.
The Galloway Twp Fatal Reconstruction Unit, Galloway Twp. Ambulance Squad, and AtlantiCare Medics, Absecon PD, Bayview Fire Department assisted in the accident.
