ATLANTIC CITY – An Atlantic City man died last night, the apparent victim of a shooting, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
Last night, March 25, 2015, at 11:15 p.m., Atlantic City police responded to Magellan Avenue as a result of a call to 9-1-1. Upon arrival, they found a man lying dead on the 2000 block of Magellan Avenue, the apparent victim of gunshot wounds.
The victim has been identified as Leon Garrison, 32, of North Massachusetts Avenue, Atlantic City. He was pronounced dead at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center—City Division at 11:42 p.m. Next-of-kin have been notified. An autopsy is pending.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene, and is investigating the death with the Atlantic City Police Department.
