On April 13, 2014 at approximately 6:15 a.m., the Township of Hamilton Police Department responded to Route 50 in the area of mile post 21.5 for a single car motor vehicle crash.
Investigation revealed that a 2012 Honda Civic driven by 20 year old Anasha Grady of Vineland, was traveling South bound on Route 50 when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
A passenger sustained serious leg injuries and was transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center City Division by members of the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad.
Route 50 was shut down in both directions for approximately 1 hour until the accident was cleared. The Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad as well as the Laureldale Fire Company assisted on scene. Grady was charged with driving while intoxicated and assault by auto. She was released pending court.
The crash investigation is being handled by Ofc. Bittmann.

To the Police Officers that read this website; Was the driver charged with assault by auto due to the injuries of the passenger? I would assume but was not sure since I have never read about a charge like that
