Galloway Police Seek Witness in Motor Vehicle Collision the Killed Pedestrian

On February 6, 2017 at 5:48 p.m., a pedestrian was walking in the roadway on Chris Gaupp Drive in the area of Garfield Avenue in the Pomona section of Galloway Township when he was struck. 

The pedestrian, later identified as Thomas G. Langlois, 35 of Elwood was struck by a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Bhavin Raval, 27 of Galloway. Raval was traveling north on Chris Gaupp Drive.  

The impact to the pedestrian proved fatal and he was pronounced deceased on scene a short time later by the New Jersey Medical Examiner’s Office. The driver sustained no injuries in the collision. 

Chris Gaupp Drive between Garfield Ave and US Route 30 was closed for approximately three hours while the scene was investigated. Anyone having information or who may have witnessed the collision, please contact Officer Steve Garrison or Kevin Costa of the GTPD Fatal Accident Unit. 

No charges have been issued as the case remains under investigation. 

GT Ambulance Squad, Atlantic County Prosecutors Office, NJ Medical Examiners Office and Stockton Campus Police assisted in the accident.
