On December 4, 2015 at 9:94 a.m., the Galloway Township Police Department responded to The Motel 6 on The White Horse Pike in reference to the odor of marijuana consuming the hallway and lobby.

During the investigation, police made contact with 28 year old Michael Clearkin of Ventnor, NJ who was a current guest at the motel.  Police discovered that Clearkin had multiple outstanding warrants including an NCIC warrant for weapons possession out of Atlantic County Superior Court.

As the investigation continued police conducted a search of Clearkin’s motel room where they located approximately 118 bags of heroin along with distribution supplies.

Clearkin was arrested by Officer Nicholas Stewart and transported to The Galloway Township Police Department and processed on his charges.  Clearkin was then lodged in The Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail as well as his other outstanding warrants.
