7,000 Bags of Heroin Recovered After Narcotics Investigation; Two Arrested

MAYS LANDING – A four-month narcotics distribution investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit, culminated in November 2015 with the arrests of two men from Paterson, NJ, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced today.
On November 18th, 2015, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit completed the four-month heroin distribution investigation involving the trafficking of heroin from Paterson, New Jersey to Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The investigation resulted in the recovery of over five ounces of heroin and over 7,000 individual bags of heroin.
DEFENDANTS ARRESTED IN THE CASE ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Donald Bernard
100 Block of 4th Avenue, Paterson, New Jersey 
Age: 28
Charges:
1. 2C: 35-5B(1) - Heroin Distribution- 1st Degree
2. 2C:35-7.1A - Distribution within 500 feet of a public zone- 2nd Degree
3. 2C:35-10A - Possession of Heroin- 3rd Degree
4. 2C: 35-7 - Possession of Heroin within 1000 feet of a school zone- 3rd Degree
Bernard was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $100,000 cash bail

300 Block of Linwood Avenue, Paterson, New Jersey 
Age: 30
Charges:
1. 2C: 35-4 - Maintaining a drug distribution facility- 1st Degree
2. 2C: 35-5B (2) - Distribution of Heroin- 2nd Degree
3. 2C: 35-7.1A - Distribution within 500 feet of a public zone- 2nd Degree 4. 2C:35-10A - Possession of Heroin- 3rd Degree

Robles was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $150,000 cash bail
