Atlantic City Electric & Exelon Employees Volunteer at Community FoodBank & Donate Food Items for Those in Need

In response to recent casino closings resulting in the loss of about 8,000 jobs, more than 130 Atlantic City Electric and Exelon employees and their families will work side-by-side with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey Southern Branch packing boxes with donated food to be given to residents in need this holiday season.

On Saturday, November 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Atlantic City Electric and Exelon will hold the food drive at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey Southern Branch, 6735 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township, N.J.

To support this volunteer event, Atlantic City Electric and Exelon held food drives at locations across the two companies asking employees to donate items to help stock the cupboards of the FoodBank. Also as part of this initiative, Atlantic City Electric and Exelon donated $30,000 to the FoodBank which is estimated to provide food to about 1,500 families.

Atlantic City Electric and Exelon are committed to supporting local organizations that make a difference in the lives of others and that benefit those in need.

Media will have the opportunity to speak with representatives of Atlantic City Electric, Exelon and the FoodBank, as well as photograph volunteers packing boxes with donated food items.
