On Sunday, November 16, 2014 at approximately 2:22
AM, the Absecon Police Department began an investigation into a shooting that
was reported to have occurred on Turner Avenue in the area of Absecon
Boulevard.
Two male victims, of whom identities are being
withheld at this time, arrived at the Absecon Municipal Complex to report that
they had been shot at multiple times.
According to the victims, at approximately 1:45
AM, their 1997 Black Chevrolet S-10 was stopped at a red traffic signal facing
southbound on Turner Avenue.
The victims’ vehicle was struck multiple times
before the victims were able to flee the scene. Neither victim was struck
however multiple shell casings and bullet fragments were recovered. The shooter
was described as a light skinned black or hispanic male wearing a maroon
colored hooded sweatshirt. The direction of flight was unknown.
The case is under investigation by Ofc. Andrew
Southrey and Det. C. Leigh Gadd, Jr. Anyone with any information is asked to
