Additional statistics include: 1 Burglaries, 2 Car Burglaries, 25 Motor Vehicle Accidents, 81 Tickets issued, 3 Driving While Intoxicated, 23 Arrests, 9 Domestic Violence, 8 Fire Calls, 12 EMS Calls and 1 Juvenile calls.

Driver Ditches Vehicle During Car Stop and Runs; Galloway Police Seek Suspect

On October 10, 2016, at approx 3:35 pm, Galloway Township Patrol Officers attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop of a gold 2001 Nissan Sentra, in the area of the White Horse Pike and Berlin Avenue.  

The vehicle pulled into the lot for Integrity Transportation and the lone occupant, a black male driver, bailed from the vehicle and ran into the woods.  

K-9 responded and tracked into the woods North of Rt. 30, between Berlin and Bremen Avenues  however the suspect was not apprehended.  The vehicle was impounded for further investigation.  

Linwood Man Distributed Pornographic Images of Children; Charged with Endangering Welfare of Children

ATLANTIC CITY – Authorities arrested a Linwood man yesterday, charged with endangering the welfare children by sharing pornographic images of children via the internet, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton announced.

A two-week investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit, with the assistance of the Linwood Police Department, and the United States Probation Office—Camden, NJ resulted in the arrest yesterday of Brian S. Posner, 31, of the 700 block of Maple Avenue, Linwood, NJ.

Posner was charged, and arrested without incident at his home yesterday, Wednesday, October 5, 2016, by detectives of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and officers of the Linwood Police Department. He was transported to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office to be processed for the arrest, then lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $100,000 cash only / no 10% bail, set by Municipal Court Judge Timothy P. McGuire.

Galloway Man, Mays Landing Woman Charged with Identity Theft; Money Laundering

GALLOWAY TWP – A Mays Landing woman and a Galloway Township man were charged and arrested by detectives of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office for conspiring to obtain—and obtaining—the personal credit card information of more than 40 customers of a local bank, and using that information to make over $20,000.00 worth of unauthorized transactions, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton announced.

An investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit, assisted by the Corporate Investigations Department of Wells Fargo and management of the Route 30 Pomona branch of the Wells Fargo Bank, resulted in the following charges issued on August 22, 2016, against Kyesha Muhammad, 33, of the 2600 block of Dogwood Court, Mays Landing, NJ. and Larry Gilliam Jr., 38, of the 600 block of Lakefront Circle, Galloway Township, NJ.:

Galloway Police Warn Residents About "Creepy Clown" Sightings

Over the course of the last two weeks, several Galloway Township residents have reported sightings of people wearing clown masks. 

Galloway Township Police responded to all calls that were reported and were unable to locate any of these subjects.  Additionally, a concerning photo of our high school has been posted to social media by an anonymous “creepy clown.”  

We have investigated each and every incident thoroughly and it appears these actions were pranks, similar to those seen around the country.  We are closely monitoring the situation and have increased patrols in the vicinity of our schools as well as recreational areas as a precaution.
