Explosive Devices, Guns Removed from Egg Harbor Township Home; Man Charged

On Wednesday evening, Egg Harbor Township Patrol Officers responded to the 100 block of Alder Avenue to investigate the report of a man with a gun threatening others. 

As police arrived on location, they learned that shots had been fired inside the residence. The suspect, sixty-six year old George L. Milner, was subsequently arrested on the front porch after a brief struggle with officers.

Atlantic City Man Charged with Vehicular Homicide for Death of Galloway Man

ATLANTIC CITY – An Atlantic City man was arrested today for vehicular homicide in connection with a fatal collision in Atlantic City last month that claimed the life of a Galloway man, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
On Monday, April 28, at approximately 3:17 a.m., members of the Atlantic City Police Department, Atlantic City Emergency Medical Services, Atlantic City Fire Department, and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office responded to a crash involving two motor vehicles at the intersection of Massachusetts and Grammercy Avenues in Atlantic City.

Absecon Woman Extracted From Vehicle After Losing Control and Striking Tree in Galloway

On May 29, 2014, the Galloway Township Police Department responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident with entrapment on Leipzig Avenue and Country Club Drive. 

A 2007 Saturn driven by Dawn Posner of Absecon was traveling south on Leipzig Avenue. The Saturn attempted to pass a 2007 Lexus driven by Lonnie Mishoe Jr. of Galloway Township as it attempted a left turn onto Country Club Drive. 

The area in question is a no passing zone. As she passed, the Lexus turned left into her vehicle causing it to spin out of control, go off the roadway and strike a tree.

Egg Harbor Township Woman Receives 7-Year Sentence on Drug and Gun Charges; Husband gets 18-years

TRENTON – Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman announced that an Atlantic County woman was sentenced to state prison today on charges stemming from an investigation by the Atlantic City Violent Crime Task Force. The task force arrested the defendant and her husband in January 2013 upon executing a search warrant at their home and finding a large quantity of cocaine and an assault weapon.

Chinyere Gardner, 34, of Egg Harbor Township, was sentenced to seven years in state prison, including five years of parole ineligibility, by Superior Court Judge Michael A. Donio in Atlantic County.

Police Investigating Shooting Death of Mullica Township Woman

MULLICA TWP – Police are investigating the shooting death yesterday of a Mullica Township woman, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
On May 26, 2014, at 9:24 a.m., the Mullica Township Police responded to 4901 Pleasant Mills Road for a 9-1-1 report of the shooting death of Lynn DeRosa, 57, of that address.
