UPDATED Police Investigating Discovery of Woman Found Dead in Home

RELEASE UPDATE (7/3/15 at 8:05 p.m.)
An autopsy of the victim, Lois Collier, performed today by Dr. Gerald Feigin, Medical Examiner, determined the cause of death to be multiple stab wounds, and the manner of death: homicide.

MULLICA TWP – Law enforcement is investigating the discovery of a woman found dead in her Mullica Township home yesterday afternoon, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., July 2, 2015, Mullica Township Police and emergency medical personnel responded to a 9-1-1 report of an unconscious female at a residence on the 200 block of Weymouth Road. Upon arrival, police found Lois Collier, 56, dead inside her home.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and Mullica Township Police Department are investigating.

Police Investigating Shooting Death of Mullica Township Woman

MULLICA TWP – Police are investigating the shooting death yesterday of a Mullica Township woman, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
On May 26, 2014, at 9:24 a.m., the Mullica Township Police responded to 4901 Pleasant Mills Road for a 9-1-1 report of the shooting death of Lynn DeRosa, 57, of that address.

Man Driving 146-mph on White Horse Pike Charged by Mullica Police

The Mullica Township Police Department reports the following incident that occurred i the early morning on April 17, 2014.

Corporal Jake O’Hara and Patrolman Mike Jamerson were on routine patrol at approximately 3:55am when both officers were traveling West on Rt. 30 in separate patrol cars near Darmstadt Avenue. 

A 2012 Cadillac CTS operating at an extremely high speed approached the officers from behind them. The Cadillac passed both officers recklessly and continued West on the White Horse Pike (Route 30).

Mullica Township Police to Crack Down on Distracted Drivers

Law enforcement officers from the Mullica Township Police Dept. will be cracking down on distracted drivers as part of a new national distracted driving enforcement campaign.
Beginning April 1 and running through April 21, the high visibility law enforcement initiative will target motorists who engage in dangerous distracted driving behaviors such as talking on hand-held cell phones and sending text messages while driving.

Suspects Arrested in Multiple Residential Burglaries in Galloway, Hamilton and Mullica Township

Two arrests have been made over the past two days, as a result of a joint investigation regarding multiple residential burglaries and thefts between the Township of Hamilton, Mullica Township and Galloway Township Police Departments.

10-year old Fatally Injured in Single Vehicle Crash in Mullica Township

It is with a heavy heart this holiday season that the Mullica Township Police Department releases details of a motor vehicle crash that resulted in the passing of one of its own residents, a ten year old child. 

On December 21st at approximately 9:11pm a 911 caller reported a one car motor vehicle crash on Weekstown Road (Cy. Rt. 612) between 5th Avenue and Pleasant Mills Road (Cy. Rt. 643). Officers arrived and found a single vehicle crash.

Tuckerton Man Saves a Driver Trapped in Car on Fire after Crash; DWI Suspected

On Friday, December 13, 2013 at approximately 1:00 a.m. a motor vehicle crash was reported at the intersection of Nesco and Jackson Roads. A second report was soon received that indicated that the vehicle was on fire and the driver was trapped in the vehicle. 

Officers arrived to find a vehicle fully engulfed. They also found the driver and a passer by outside of the vehicle. It was discovered that the driver, John Hem 22 of Barnegat Light, who is now under investigation for driving while intoxicated, was trapped in the vehicle as it was on fire.
