One Fatality, Several Injuries in Multi-Vehicle Accident on the White Horse Pike

On August 6, 2015 at approximately 7:52 p.m., Galloway Township Police Department responded to a multi-vehicle accident on the White Horse Pike.

A 2005 Hyundai driven by Kay Campbell 45, of Egg Harbor was traveling west on US 30 when it crossed the center line of the roadway. The Hyundai struck the left rear side of a 2009 Dodge driven by Marisa Cowan 29, of Hammonton as she traveled east. 

The Hyundai continued traveling west in the eastbound lanes striking a 2004 Toyota driven by Donald Kleinschmidt 62, of Absecon as he traveled east. 

Cowan suffered minor injuries and was transported to ARMC by GTAS. Kleinschmidt suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to ARMC City Division by GTAS.  

Campbell suffered fatal injuries and had to be extricated from her vehicle by Pomona Fire Department. She was pronounced deceased at 9:16pm. 

US 30 between Carton Ave and Mannheim Ave was shut down for 3 hours while the scene was investigated and debris and vehicles were removed. 

Officer Steve Garrison and Officer Kevin Costa of the Galloway Township Police Fatal Accident Unit are investigating the accident.
