Galloway Man Arrested for DUI, Drug and Weapon Charges After Hit and Run

On October 5, 2020, at 2:50 p.m., Galloway Township Police have released, following an investigation of two hit and run motor vehicle accidents, Keith J. Ospina, 36 of Galloway Township was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.  The accident occurred on S. Wrangleboro Road, and Jimmie Leeds Road. 

Subsequent investigation and a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a .40 Cal Smith and Wesson semi-automatic handgun, which contained a large capacity magazine.  A quantity of marijuana under 50g and CDS paraphernalia were also found in the vehicle.  

Mr. Ospina was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (handgun), Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine, Possession of a Weapon (by persons not to have weapons), Possession of Marijuana under 50g and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.  Mr. Ospina’s charges were placed on a warrant and he was remanded to custody, pending court.    

Ofc. Nicholas Stewart #107 and Ofc. Paul Dooner #126 were the investigating officers.
