Galloway Man & Woman Face Drug and Weapon Charges After Search Warrant on Home

MAYS LANDING – A Galloway man and woman are charged with multiple drug and weapons charges after the execution of a search warrant at their Galloway residence, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.
On Thursday, October 26, 2017, members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit along with members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Atlantic City RA, New Jersey State Police and Galloway Township Police Department, with assistance from Atlantic County SWAT, executed a court authorized search warrant at the residence of Louis Hilton, 50, and Julie Naia, 49.

As a result, detectives and agents recovered over 5 ounces of Crystal Methamphetamine, a fully loaded .357 Magnum revolver, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, evidence of Outlaw Motorcycle Gang affiliation and a large sum of money.
Both Hilton and Naia were charged with the following offenses:
  • First degree Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute, a crime of the 1st degree
  • Second degree Possession of a Weapon (Firearm) while in the course of committing a drug offense
  • Third degree Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine
  • Second degree Conspiracy

Hilton also was charged with second degree Certain Persons Not to Have Weapons (Firearm). This charge is due to Hilton's past criminal convictions that specifically prohibit him from possessing a weapon.
On Friday, November 03, 2017, a detention hearing was held for both subjects with Chief Assistant Prosecutor Anne Crater appearing for the State. Hilton will remain detained at the Atlantic County Justice Facility and Naia was released on a bracelet and required to report to the Court’s Pre-Trial Services Unit.
These charges are merely an accusation and not proof of guilt. In all criminal cases, a charged defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
