Three Injured in Multiple Vehicle Collision on White Horse Pike

On July 21, 2017 at 12:01 p.m., Galloway Township Police responded to multi-vehicle collision on US Route 30 (White Horse Pike) in the area of 7th Avenue.

According to Police, a 2010 Cadillac DTS, being operated by Joseph F. Crotty Jr., 91 of Toms River, was traveling eastbound on Route 30, just east of 6th Ave, when it collided with the rear of a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country, being operated by Bernice Campfield, 51 of Atlantic City, which had just pulled onto Route 30 from 7th Ave.  

The Cadillac then proceeded east on Route 30 until it struck the rear of a Chevrolet Cobalt, being operated by Ruben Rodriguez, 29 of Galloway which was stopped on the eastbound shoulder of Route 30.  

The Chevrolet Cobalt was then forced into a telephone pole in front of the Crystal Inn and Suites.  The Cadillac then swerved back into the roadway and overturned.  As the Cadillac overturned, it struck the rear of a GMC Terrain, being operated by MaryJane Steele, 73 of Egg Harbor City.  

The Cadillac came to rest on its roof on Route 30.   Rodriguez was extricated from his vehicle by Bayview Fire Department.  Rodriguez and his passenger, Paula T. Sardano, were transported to the Atlantic Regional Medical Center for serious but non-life threatening injuries.  

Joseph F. Crotty Jr. was transported to Atlantic Regional Medical Center for serious but non-life threatening injuries.  All drivers and passengers of the vehicles involved were wearing their seat belts.  

The accident is being investigated by Patrolman Ron Gorneau of the Galloway Township Traffic Safety Unit.

The Galloway Township Police Department would like to thank the employees of the Crystal Inn and Suites and USA Gas for their assistance with providing water for emergency personnel on scene of this collision.
