UPDATED: Police Investigating Woman's Body Discovered in Hamilton Township on Weymouth Road

UPDATED (Feb 15) The victim was identified as 25-year-old Joyce Y. Vanderhoff of Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Her family has been notified.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the death a homicide. 

HAMILTON TWP. – The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hamilton Township Police Department are investigating the discovery of a woman found dead on the side of the road in Hamilton Township, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
On Friday, Feb. 14, at approximately 9 a.m., Hamilton Township Police responded to a report of a body spotted by a passing motorist on the side of Weymouth Road. The victim is an unidentified adult female.
The State Medical Examiner’s Office has taken possession of the body. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death. Results are pending.
The death investigation remains ongoing. Additional information will be released when available.
