Ventnor Teenager Indicted on Murder Charges after Fatally Stabbing Millville Man


MAYS LANDING An Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted a Ventnor woman for the murder of a Millville man in December 2012, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.

On Wednesday, May 15, Tamasa T. Nobles, 18, was indicted for the murder of Devon Devine, 20, of Millville, who was fatally stabbed in the chest by Nobles. In addition, Nobles was also indicted for weapons offenses.

On the afternoon of December 2, 2012, police responded to a 911 call in regards to an unresponsive male who had reportedly been stabbed during an altercation. Upon arrival, police officers found Devine suffering from a stab wound outside of Nobles’ residence located on the 300 block of Wissahickon Avenue in Ventnor.

Devine was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after. Nobles was taken into custody at the scene. Nobles remains lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $200,000 bail.

***The indictment is merely an accusation and not proof of guilt. In all criminal cases, an indicted defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
