Mays Landing Resident Injured in Single Vehicle Collison in Galloway

On Tuesday, May 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., the Galloway Township Police Department responded on Wrangleboro Road near the intersection with Society Hill Drive in reference to the report of a motor vehicle accident.  Upon police arrival, they discovered a 2013 Hino 195 truck in the wood line just off the east side of the roadway.

The initial police investigation reveals that Anthony Palmeri Jr. of Mays Landing was traveling northbound on Wrangleboro Road when he traveled off the east side of the roadway and struck several trees.  Palmeri was removed from the vehicle and initially treated on scene by Officer Christopher Fitting #128 and Officer Mark Kienzle #119 for a severe lower leg injury.  

Galloway Township EMS and Atlanticare Paramedics arrived to provide further medical treatment, to Palmeri, for his injuries.  After being treated on scene, Palmeri was transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center City Division for further treatment.  Wrangleboro Road between Collins Road and Society Hill Drive was closed for approximately two hours as police investigated the accident.
