The Galloway Township Police Department investigated numerous vehicle burglaries and a stolen vehicle, which occurred last evening in the area of Arbutus Avenue and Magnolia Avenue.
After reading our Facebook post regarding these incidents a concerned resident provided a suspect description, which was followed up on by Det. Bryan Casey and Ofc. Ronald Gorneau. While canvassing the area a suspect matching this description was located in the area of Rt. 30 and 7th Avenue.
The suspect, identified as Casey Williams, 26, of Edmond, Oklahoma, was detained and through further investigation charged with the vehicle burglaries and the stolen vehicle. Property taken during these thefts was recovered at a nearby motel. In addition, the stolen vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner.
Williams was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The Police Department appreciates the assistance of the public, which was instrumental in solving these cases.
