Absecon Man Tries to Elude Galloway Police; Faces Drug and Other Charges

On January 14, 2018 at 2:11 p.m., Galloway Township Police Officer Gandhi attempted to make a motor vehicle stop of a 1999 Ford F-150 at Aloe Street and Robin Lane. According to Police the vehicle was operated by Jordan Ragland, 26 of Absecon.  

Ragland failed to stop and attempted to elude Officer Gandhi by driving behind Absecon Mills where he struck a storage container. Ragland fled the scene in the vehicle and was apprehended at the end of Robin Lane where he surrendered to police.  

K9 Rocky of the Galloway Township Police K9 Unit responded and conducted a search of the vehicle locating 224 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine.
Ragland was charged with Eluding, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute (1st degree) and Obstruction as well as multiple motor vehicle violations.


Ragland was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on his charges.
