How Three Grinches in Galloway Tried to Steal Christmas Away from Children

Portorreal          Facenda-Almanzar       Kenneth Gray
On Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 10:47am, three suspects entered the Galloway Township Municipal Building lobby and stole a large amount of children’s toys from the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation donation bin. According to the foundation’s website the objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

Prior to the theft, the donation bin was overflowing with toys, due to the generosity of others in the community. The suspects stole every single toy that was in and around the bin. The approximate value of the toys was in excess of $300.00.

All three Grinches who tried to steal Christmas have been identified. Two females from Pleasantville, NJ, identified as Yessica Portorreal (22) and Yanilka Facenda-Almanzar (24), were arrested by the Galloway Township Police Department Thursday evening and all the stolen toys were recovered. The third suspect, identified as Kenneth W. Gray (29) of Pleasantville, NJ, is wanted in connection to the theft, as well, but has yet to be located.

The case was investigated by Detective Kerry Baerman, Officer Nicholas Stewart, and Officer Kaitlyn Reyes. Anyone with additional information pertaining to this case can contact Detective Kerry Baerman at (609)652-3705 ext. 320 or Atlantic County Crime Stoppers at (609)652-1234.
