According to Police, Anthony Dagostino 81, of Galloway Township was traveling northbound on the 100 block of N. Frankfurt Avenue in a 2007 Black Jeep Grand Cherokee when he struck a blue Yamaha YZF dirt bike that was being operated by a 13-year-old male juvenile from Galloway Township.
The initial police investigation reveals that Dagostino was traveling northbound on North Frankfurt Avenue when the juvenile exited a driveway without stopping and entered the roadway on his dirt bike. After the collision, the jeep went off the roadway and struck a tree.
Dagostino and his passenger were both transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division for minor injuries.
The juvenile male was transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center City Division for non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles were severely damaged as a result of the collision.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the investigating officer, Patrolman Nicholas Stewart at 609-652-3705 extension 107.
