Galloway Township, NJ – Family Service Association held a rededication and unveiling ceremony of its FSA EAST building for client services on April 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Galloway Township, NJ. The 19,000 square-foot building is newly renovated and can be toured immediately following the rededication ceremony. Both the rededication ceremony and guided tours were open to the public. At the conclusion of the tours, a reception was held in the FSA EAST building for client services.
“FSA EAST building for client services has been under renovation since March 2012, with the help of the State Department of Human Services,” said Family Service Association President, Cindy Herdman Ivins. “The State of New Jersey and its Department of Human Services invested half of the $750,000 needed to renovate this facility. It will house the Family Life Center, First Day program, and Outpatient Department, Safe Harbor Program, and Partial Care programs for children and adults; along with any programs that strengthen a parent’s ability to care for their children.”
Located near W.L. Goodfellows and Co. Restaurant, FSA EAST consists of a new reception area that serves as a focal point of the facility. The building is a new light in New Jersey’s path to Hope and Healing since the occurrence of Super Storm Sandy.
The striking new design of the building’s exterior conveys hope, healing, and recovery for all who enter. The strength of Family Service Association’s reputation is displayed on the outside with a serenity fountain. A friendly and warm interior awaits children and families who need our help. This building has supported the growth of families for several decades. Cindy Herdman Ivins president of Family Service Association noted, “These ‘improvements’ will allow exciting new program activities on the Galloway campus. The FSA EAST will now have the exposure it deserves while attracting families and new clients to FSA programs.”
President Herdman Ivins went on to say, “Family Service has established a rich reputation of Strengthening Individuals and Families with the partnership of state and local government. The close relationship with the Department Of Human Services and Atlantic County officials adds an invaluable resource that will greatly benefit South Jersey residents.”
