On the early morning of Saturday November 29th, 2014 at approximately 4:47 a.m., the Absecon Police Department responded in the area of Ohio Avenue for a three car motor vehicle accident.
Upon police arrival it was discovered the vehicle which caused the accident was fully engulfed in flames and the driver was able to safely remove himself from the vehicle without injury.
Absecon Fire Department quickly responded and was able to efficiently extinguish the vehicle fire. During the investigation the driver was identified as, Jorge Santiago.

Hamilton Twp. Man Found at Scene, Charged with Murder
HAMILTON TWP – A man has been arrested for the murder last night of the woman with whom he lived, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced this morning.
Joseph Morrison, 62, of the 6000 block of Sears Ave., Mays Landing, was charged this morning with murder, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, for shooting and killing Debra J. Mason, 52, of the same address.
At 9:55 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, Hamilton Township Police, Hamilton Township Rescue, and AtlantiCare paramedics responded to the Sears Avenue home in response to a 9-1-1 call. Upon arrival, Mason was found with a gunshot wound to the chest. Mason was pronounced dead at the scene

Children Awarded by Galloway Police for their "Good Deed" and Honesty

The three children located $180.00 in cash and immediately laughed with each other about things they would like to buy with the money. After speaking with their Dad they decided to contact the police and turn over the money in case someone had reported that they lost it.
"I have been a police officer for 15-years and as soon as I read the Patrol officers report as the Property Supervisor, I immediately reached out to the father and thanked him for teaching his children to do the right thing" said Acting Captain Donna Higbee.

Search Warrant on Galloway Home Results in Drug Charges
On November 21, 2014, a search warrant was executed by the Galloway Township Police Department in the 200 block of Koch Avenue in regards to a narcotics investigation.
As a result of the search warrant, Verna Watkins, 48 of Galloway, and Fela Mandela, 48 of Galloway were arrested for Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Heroin), Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
