Shoplifter Found at Galloway Motel Accused of Stealing Over $3,000 in Merchandise from Absecon Home Depot

On May 2, 2014 at approximately 1:50 pm the Home Depot- 421 Absecon Blvd reported a shoplifting. Employees reported that the accused described as a white male, 6 foot tall, and wearing a navy blue and white sweatshirt with the symbol “O” on the front. 
The male was seen on surveillance video loading several DeWalt, Ryobi, and Echo power tools into a shopping cart then leaving the store and loading it into a tan Grand Marquis bearing NJ registration. Patrol units began searching the area.

Two Employees of Atlantic City Casino Restaurant Charged with Theft of over $100,000; Employees yet to be Located

MAYS LANDING – Two employees of an Atlantic City casino restaurant were indicted yesterday afternoon for the theft from their employer of over $100,000, the theft accomplished by issuing payroll checks to non-existent employees over more than a 2- year period, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced today.
On Wednesday, April 30, 2014, as a result of an 18-month investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit, an Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted Jason Spurlock, 35, and Suzanne Adkisson, 35, both formerly of the 800 block of Ocean City, New Jersey, for Theft by Deception and Conspiracy, for the theft of $109,000 from the Il Mulino Restaurant, located in the Taj Mahal Casino, Atlantic City, NJ.

Baltimore Ravens Running Back Ray Rice Pleads Not Guilty; Applies for PTI

MAYS LANDING – A Maryland man was arraigned today for the physical assault of a woman in an Atlantic City casino/hotel elevator, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced today.
Raymell M. Rice, 27, of the 2400 block of Tufton Spring Lane, Reistertown, MD, was arraigned on May 1, 2014 at 8:45 a.m. on the charge of aggravated assault in Atlantic County Superior Court.
On February 15, 2014, at 2:52 a.m., Atlantic City Police responded to the Revel Casino and Hotel in Atlantic City to investigate an altercation between Raymell M. Rice, 27, of the 2400 block of Tufton Spring Lane, Reistertown, MD, and Janay Palmer, 26, of the same address.

Former Hammonton Band Director Charged with Sexual Assault of 16 Year-Old Student

MAYS LANDING – A Hammonton man employed as the high school marching band director has been charged with the sexual assault of a 16 year-old student, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.
After a week-long investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Town of Hammonton Police Department, a warrant was issued today for the arrest of Jason Koenig, 26, of the 600 block of Wilbur Avenue, Hammonton, NJ, for charges of:
(1) Official Misconduct, a 2nd degree crime,
(2) Sexual Assault, a 2nd degree crime,
(3) Criminal Sexual Contact, a 4th degree crime, and
(4) Endangering the Welfare of Children, a 2nd degree crime.
Koenig has not yet been located and taken into custody.

Four Arrested of Drug Charges After Execution of Search Warrant on Local Motel Room

On Wednesday, April 30, 2014, members of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau, with the assistance of Atlantic County SWAT and members of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department Patrol Division, executed narcotics search warrants at a room at the Economy Inn, located in the West Atlantic City section, and at a room at the Rex Motel, located in the Farmington section of the township. 
Four adults were arrested for possessing an undisclosed amount of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
