No Charges Filed Against Former Galloway School Principal John Gibson

After a year of waiting for the outcome of allegations asserted against former Galloway Middle School Principal John Gibson, no charges will be filed, according to the Ocean County Prosecutors Office. 

On March 1, 2014, Galloway Township News was the first news agency to report the absence of Galloway Township Public School Principal John Gibson that caused great concern within the parental community of Galloway Township. 

According to payroll records, Gibson was placed on paid leave from the school district until he submitted his letter of resignation on March 24, 2014.

Toms River Man Charged with Possession & Distribution of Child Pornography

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato today announced the arrest of Michael J. Peluso, 44, of Toms River, NJ, for the Possession and Distribution of images of children under the age of 18 engaged in prohibited sexual acts.

This morning the Ocean County High Tech Crime Unit, with assistance from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations, Toms River Police Department and the New Jersey State Police, executed a search warrant at 2149 South Street, Toms River, NJ.

The Ocean County Prosecutors Office may have cast new light on what happened to former Galloway Principal John Gibson and his continued paid absences. 

Galloway Township News obtained a letter dated May 2, 2014 between the Ocean County Prosecutors Office (OCPO) and John Paff, Chairman of the New Jersey Libertarian Party's Open Government Advocacy Project.  The letter was in response to an Open Public Records Request for contents of a file involving former Galloway Principal John Gibson.

Drug Bust in Ocean County Leads to Five Arrests; Drugs and Fictitious Passports Seized

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato announced today the arrest of five individuals as a result of a two-month cooperative multi-agency investigation into drug storage and distribution facilities allegedly operating in Lakewood, NJ.

The Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group, Northern Enforcement Unit, along with members of the Lakewood Township Police Department and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) successfully developed significant evidence of the operation of the facilities, which led to court-authorized search warrants being issued for three residences and a thrift store within Lakewood. Detectives also identified two vehicles, specifically a silver 2004 Kia and a red 2008 Nissan Altima, as being utilized to facilitate the drug distribution network.
