Galloway Bank Robbers Caught, Arrested in New York City

On January 24, 2018, the Galloway Township Police Department responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 273 W. White Horse Pike for a robbery.  A check of the area by numerous officers from Galloway Township and surrounding jurisdictions was undertaken but the suspect was not immediately located.

As a result of a joint investigation involving the Galloway Township Police Department, Stafford Township Police Department, the New York Police Department, and the New Jersey and New York offices of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, two suspects were identified, located, and arrested in connection with multiple bank robberies in the New York and New Jersey Area.

Galloway Police Assist in Disrupting Gun and Drugs Trafficking Supply Chain

ATLANTIC COUNTY— A 2-month joint investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Unit, the Pleasantville Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the New Jersey State Police, and the Galloway Township Police Department, with the assistance of additional Federal, State, County, and Municipal law enforcement agencies, culminated this week in the arrests of 16 persons involved in the trafficking of illegal drugs and firearms in the Pleasantville and Egg Harbor City areas, and in disrupting a gun trafficking supply chain originating in southern U. S. states and ending in Atlantic County, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced today.
Beginning at 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017, Detectives of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, the Pleasantville Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the New Jersey State Police, and the Galloway Township Police Department, with assistance from U. S. Homeland Security Investigations, U. S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office, and the Egg Harbor City, Mullica Township, Atlantic City, and Egg Harbor Township Police Departments—armed with arrest and search warrants—arrested 16 individuals and executed 5 search warrants in the Egg Harbor City area, deploying Atlantic County Regional SWAT, Atlantic City Police SWAT, and FBI SWAT units in the search warrant executions.

Galloway Resident Among Those Charged with Illegal Drug Trafficking in Atlantic City Area

ATLANTIC CITY – A joint investigation conducted during the past year by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, the Atlantic City Police Department, the New Jersey State Police, the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General Atlantic City Task Force, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), culminated yesterday in criminal charges against 41 members of a significant illegal drug trafficking organization operating in the Atlantic City area, the arrests of 19 of those charged, and the seizure of large amounts of illegal drugs, money, motor vehicles, and handguns, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced today.
Early yesterday morning, Thursday, July 7, 2016, Detectives of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, the Atlantic City Police Department, the New Jersey State Police, the Attorney General Atlantic City Task Force, and the FBI—armed with State and Federal arrest warrants, and assisted by law enforcement officers of local, regional, State, and Federal agencies, including multiple tactical teams—arrested 19 individuals in Atlantic County. Law enforcement continues to pursue the arrests of the 22 others charged with crimes in this case.

Bank Robber Caught By FBI and Absecon Police; Ambulance Used in Robbery Impounded

The Absecon Police along with the FBI arrested an Atlantic City man for a bank robbery that occurred on June 2, 2015 at approximately 1:14 PM. 

The Absecon Police Department responded to the Absecon Branch of TD Bank located on the White Horse Pike (RT 30) and Mill Rd. for a bank robbery. The suspect, described as a black male approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall weighing about 300 lbs. with a beard, wearing a light color shirt with dark pants and a black knit cap gave the teller a note demanding money. 

The teller complied with the note and handed over an undetermined amount of cash to the suspect. The suspect fled the bank and headed south on Mill Rd on foot. The suspect was observed getting into a TRICARE Ambulance and headed south towards Ohio Ave.

Local FBI Employee Arrested for Child Pornography; Possession and Distribution

On January 13, 2015, Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato announced the arrest of Michael J. Peluso, 44, of Toms River, NJ, for the Possession and Distribution of images of children under the age of 18 engaged in prohibited sexual acts.

According to documents released, Peluso has been identified as an employee of the US Department of Justice - Federal Bureau of Investigation. Peluso is listed as a Civilian Analyst - MST; an undercover unit in the FBI under the Critical Incident Response Group. 

The Ocean County High Tech Crime Unit, with assistance from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations, Toms River Police Department and the New Jersey State Police, executed a search warrant at 2149 South Street, Toms River, NJ.
