Bellmawr Man Charged with Sexual Assault of 7-year-old Child

BELLMAWR, NJ – A Bellmawr man was arrested yesterday, charged with the sexual assault of a 7-year-old child in 2014, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton announced.
After a 2 year investigation of Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit detectives, James R. Ward, 30, of East Browning Road, Bellmawr, NJ, was arrested in Bellmawr, NJ, yesterday, Friday, December 30, 2016 at approximately 11:30 a.m.by Special Victim’s Unit detectives. Ward was charged with:

Galloway Woman Injured in Motor Vehicle Collision

On December 30, 2016 at 12:16 p.m., Galloway Township Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Upland and Second Avenue.

According to Police, a Jeep, driven by Peggy Cooper, 63 of Columbia SC, was traveling west on Upland Avenue when she ran a stop sign and struck a Chrysler driven by Lauren Frye, 33 of Galloway as she was traveling south on Second Avenue.

Police stated the impact of the collision pushed the Chrysler into a utility pole coming to a rest on the west side of Second Ave. Frye had to be extricated from her vehicle by Bayview Fire Company.

Piscataway Man Arrested in Galloway Motel Robbery

On December 12, 2016, Galloway Twp. Police were dispatched to the Highlander Motel, located at 304 E. White Horse Pike, for the report of an armed robbery. 

Initial investigation revealed that the victim had been bound with Duct Tape and held at gunpoint in a motel room. The male suspect robbed the victim of $250.00 prior to fleeing eastbound on the White Horse Pike. 

During the course of the investigation the suspect was identified as Joshua Holmes, 23 of Piscataway. With the assistance of Piscataway Police, Joshua Holmes was taken into custody on December 29, 2016, while in possession of a firearm.
